ALBERTA IOT TO CHANGE COURSE AND AIOT CANADA GAINS A NATIONAL FOOTPRINT!

PRESS RELEASE

As a result of Alberta IoT changing course and focusing on its immigration and business incubation services, Alberta IoT sought to expand benefits and networks for its current Alberta IoT members by ensuring that membership, renewals and services will be managed by AIoT Canada on a “going forward basis”; thereby ensuring continued support for members across Alberta and Western Canada. Alberta IoT members are now invited to become part of AIoT Canada for a stronger, unified and national ecosystem and representation.

After discussions with AIoT Canada, it became clear that our members would benefit significantly from being part of a national organization that is not only focused on IoT but on AIoT” said Laine Hotte, the Chair of Alberta IoT, soon to be serving on the AIoT Canada Board of Directors. “Our efforts were increasingly split between member services and our immigration-focused startup initiatives. This allows both organizations to grow and succeed independently.

This is a pivotal moment for the AIoT ecosystem and innovation in Canada,” added Walter Knitl, the President of AIoT Canada. “With this invitation, we’re expanding our national network and unlocking new opportunities for representation, collaboration, innovation, and growth. We are thrilled to welcome Alberta IoT members into the AIoT Canada community.

"Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things are at the heart of Canada’s next-generation technology sector and industrial future,” commented Terry Matthews of Wesley Clover International. “Developing a robust, national AIoT ecosystem is critical not only for driving innovation and competitiveness but also for ensuring our economic sovereignty in a rapidly evolving global landscape. The integration of Alberta IoT’s members with AIoT Canada is a significant step forward, fostering collaboration, strengthening representation, and creating new opportunities for growth across the country. A great foundation for Canada to lead in AIoT innovation on the global stage."

Chris Joyce of CENGN further states “AI and IoT (AIoT) play a vital role in redesigning industries and service models. We are in an era where technological sovereignty defines global competitiveness. Having a thriving and united national ecosystem is critical to strengthening resilience in driving rapid innovation, collaboration, and industry growth.
